The Kwara State Governor has announced the release of the 38 worshippers who were abducted by bandits from the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the worshippers were released yesterday. He however did not disclose how the abductees regained their freedom.
The governor commended the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, and the Nigeria Police for their efforts.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment in tackling insecurity in the country, saying he will not relent until all Nigerians are protected.
In a statement yesterday, via his official X handle said Nigeria would be secured under his watch, adding that every citizen deserves the right to be safe in any state of the federation.
